Founded in 1939 as a custom roll former, Hygrade has used its expertise and production capabilities to meet the expanding needs of the Fenestration Industry. From the initial introduction of aluminum spacers in the 1950's, five decades later, Hygrade has been transformed into one of the largest suppliers of Insulating Glass and Window components in the world.
During the '80s, when energy efficiency and conservation became a critical national concern, Hygrade set out to utilize new technologies to meet this new demand. The emergence of laser welding technology accelerated industry growth and Hygrade was soon providing lightweight, state-of-the-art, energy efficient components to the I.G. Industry.
Adapting to meet changing industry and customer requirements, Hygrade has implemented warm-edge spacer technologies and offering a variety of accessories to improve the quality and performance of today's I.G. units.
